General Education courses are divided into four dimensions, requiring 16 credits:通識涵養課程共分四大向度，應修得 16 學分：

下列四大向度每一向度至少應修二學分，合計八學分。修習取得上述各向度指定學分後，其餘六學分自主修習四大向度課程，惟單一向度總修習學分不得超過六學分。超修之通識涵養課程學分數，皆視為外系選修學分。
Students must complete at least two credits in each of the four areas listed below, for a total of eight credits. After completing the required credits in each of the four areas, students may freely select an additional six credits from courses offered in these four areas. However, the total number of credits earned in any single area may not exceed six credits. Any credits earned beyond the required credits in General Education courses will be counted as elective credits from other departments

• Life Wisdom and Holistic Development, min. 2 credits「生命智慧與全人整合」向度，至少 2 學分
• Humanistic Aesthetics and Creative Practice, min. 2 credits「人文美學與創新實踐」向度，至少 2 學分
• Social Inquiry and Sustainable Action, min. 2 credits「社會洞察與永續行動」向度，至少2學分
• Natural Science and Applied Technology, min. 2 credits「自然科學與科技應用」向度，至少 2 學分

Including Freshman English, Reading and Writing, and Chinese courses — up to 8 credits counted.含英文、閱讀與書寫、初級／進階／高階華語課程至多採計 8 學分。
